In this video, we will show you the steps to extract the currently installed boot.img from your OnePlus device using the MSM Download Tool.

Thanks to this method, you no longer have to download the full firmware package and extract the payload.bin to get the boot.img.
Just use the tweak shown in the video and the boot.img file will be extracted from your device over to the C Drive on your PC.

And if you are guessing about its version, then it will be exactly the same as that of the firmware which is currently installed on your OnePlus [you could check it from Settings - About Device - Version - Build Number].

NOTE: The entire process might look lengthy, however, most of these tasks are needed just for first-time usage. From subsequent times, you wouldn't have to carry out most of these tasks.
