Ingredients:

Roasted Bengal Gram - 1 Cup
Poppy Seeds - 1 Tbsp
Sesame Seeds - 1 Tbsp
Grated Dry Coconut - 1/2 Cup
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Jaggery - 1 Cup
Water - 1/4 Cup
Ghee/Clarified Butter - 1 tsp

Method:

1. Add 1 Cup Roasted Bengal Gram to the big mixer jar. Grind to a fine powder. Keep aside.

2. Add 1 Tbsp of Poppy Seeds to a pan. Roast the Poppy Seeds in medium flame till they turn golden in color. While roasting, the Poppy Seeds will start to splutter and sound accordingly. Transfer the roasted Poppy Seeds to a plate and allow them to cool.

3. Add 1 Tbsp of Sesame Seeds to the same pan. Roast the Sesame Seeds in medium flame. Like Poppy Seeds, the Sesame Seeds too will start to splutter and you will hear the sound of spluttering. Roast till they turn golden in color. Transfer the roasted Sesame Seeds to a plate and allow them to cool.

4. Add powdered Roasted Bengal Gram or Hurigadale Hittu to a big-sized bowl. Add roasted Sesame Seeds, roasted Poppy Seeds, 1/2 Cup grated Dry Coconut, and 1 tsp of Cardamom Powder and mix well. Keep aside.

5. Add 1 Cup crushed or grated Jaggery to a pan or Kadai. Add 1/4 Cup of water. Once melted, the Jaggery will start to boil and bubbles start to appear. Boil for 5 more minutes. Add the melted Jaggery to the mixture, a little at a time, and mix with the help of a spoon.

6. Add the remaining melted Jaggery and mix well. Use your hand to press and mix well. Add 1 tsp of Ghee and mix well. Prepare a big lump of Laddu/Unde dough. Leave the Unde dough aside for 2-3 minutes and then start making the Laddu/Unde.

7. The dough should be slightly warm when forming dough balls. Take a little bit of dough and turn it into a round shape with your hands.

8. You can prepare 15-16 Laddus/Unde with the measurements given by me and when the Unde/Laddu is of the size seen in the video. Quality cooking wares that I love and recommend. Many of these I use every day in my kitchen and in the videos as well. Thank you.
