This is the most dangerous road in Colombia, and the 4th most dangerous in Latin America. The BMW 750 GS and myself held up well, but unfortunately there was heavy rain making the famous 'Death Road' of Colombia, impassable. The stretch of road I was heading for is called 'Trampolin del Diablo.' The Devil's Trampoline. After riding for 10 hours to get to the entry road, heavy rain the following morning, as well as bad weather in the day's before had flooded several parts of the road. Attempting it in October, the worst month for rain probably wasn't the wisest move... But the journey there was scenic and eventful and worthy of posting. Think of it as part 1 of the journey, with part 2 to follow... Hopefully very soon.
