Another exhaust video of the 6.0 to show how the new setup sounds compared to the old setup. I did the same route as the first video and tried to do the same things. The only difference is that in this video I'm running the SCT Performance tune and the other video was on the SCT Street tune. But I don't think that changed too much.

When I got the truck the exhaust was cut and just dumped right behind the cab. It wasn't held up by much and was actually hanging by just the turbo at one point so I had to do something. I got some 4" piping and ran it back to a 45° bend with 8" axle dumped tip.

I said its a lot louder in the video, but after watching the video back and comparing it to the other one, I'd say the new setup is a little quieter in cab. Probably because the exhaust exits farther back, by the axle now. But it is much louder outside the truck. I think it sounds a lot better with the 8" tip and axle dump though. Its very loud. I absolutely love it, I'm very happy I went with the axle dump and the 8" tip.

I 100% believe that a bigger tip changes the sound, at least when you get to the bigger ones like the 8". It makes it a lot deeper and really gives it a different tone. And even though it is a bit quieter in cab, there is more drone at certain RPMs. The one thing I really love is the drone/cackle sound it makes around 2500rpms. Sounds downright nasty, no other way to describe it, its stupid loud in person. I threw in a clip of the sound I'm talking about at the end of the video. The video does not do it justice, and its even louder with the smoke switch on. It did not make this sound before the tip, so I'd say it makes a big difference in sound.
