Harvey Proctor's full statement on 22 Sept 2015 referred to by the Guardian (above) is as follows: "I feel I have had to do my own fair share of dexification because of the toxic nature of the accusations of murder and child sexual abuse levied against me. This has had a devastating impact on my life. Yesterday's confused Public Relations statement by Scotland Yard marks the beginning of what I believe is their exit strategy from Operation Midland. These people are like burglars: they raid your home without consent and without any regard for the consequences. It's not what they take - it's what they leave behind. I can foresee within the next 12 months:-
No evidence to corroborate 'Nick's' fantasy allegations will be forthcoming.
Sir Bernard Hogan Howe, Pat Gallan, Steve Rodhouse & Ken Macdonald will fall like a pack of cards.
'Nick' will be prosecuted or sectioned.
Exaro will cease to exist.
The use of “Credible and true” by people in positions of influence will mean 'unsubstantiated and false'.
This torture for me and others wrongly accused will finally be at an end and I will be able to sleep at night and quietly get on with what is left of my life."
