On March 18, 2019, renowned science fiction author and translator, Ken Liu gave a talk at Cornell University. The next day he sat down with Nick Admussen, professor of Asian Studies and Literature, for a wide-ranging conversation exploring the topic, "American Identity and National Myth." Here is an excerpt of that interview.

Ken Liu's visit was part of the Cornell Contemporary China Initiative and course Asian Studies 3008. It was made possible through the co-sponsorship of the Einaudi Center for International Studies and the generous support of the Cornell Society for the Humanities and Ithaca College Department of Writing.
