Dobcross Silver Band and the Dobcross Brass Monkeys under the baton of Mr Tim Sidwell play "Silver Hill" during the wreath laying in the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, Ieper (Ypres) on Saturday 15th August 2015. The hymn tune was arranged by (Liz) E.R. Byrd especially for the occasion . Wreaths were laid by Mr Peter Archer on behalf of the Saddleworth branch of the Royal British Legion, by Mr. Andy Black on behalf of the bands, and by Dr Cathy Heaven on behalf of the village of Dobcross. The standard bearer for the Saddleworth branch of the Royal British Legion was Rev John Rosedale.
