The SRTSL x BBG7 is a cross created by Paul Willett in the UK that is supposed to produce red pods. Seeds were given to Mike Hess and he got a tangerine colored variant that maintains BBG7 shape without the fat calyx or bleeding stem. They're beautiful looking pods and very flavorful - sweet, citrusy and fruity. There is a pronounced capsaicin flavor to it as well due to the massive amount of oil and placental tissue in the pod and that bumps the overall flavor down a point. The burn is wicked and absolutely ruthless - savaging the throat, the tongue and in particular, the chest. Once it peaked, it felt like my lungs and heart were on fire and I actually had to lay down, so pardon the edit as I didn't think I should keep the camera rolling while I was in the fetal position. This is the absolute hottest orange pod I've ever tried and second only to the CP115 in brutal, devastating heat...not to be underestimated. Insanely nasty once it peaks.
