As part of India's First Right of Reply at the General Debate of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly on Saturday, First Secretary Bhavika Mangalanandan ripped apart Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif's references to India earlier that morning.

Sharif, in his address to the UNGA, compared the situation in Kashmir to that of Palestine and claimed that India was committing unspeakable atrocities on Kashmiri people for a century.

Citing Pakistan's "global reputation" for terrorism and other transnational crimes, India's Mangalanandan dismissed the Pakistani PM's accusations as a "travesty" and "unacceptable." She added that New Delhi's stand on Jammu and Kashmir is clear and unchanging, that is, it is an inalienable and integral part of India.
