Something a bit different, a solo bluesy guitar instrumental of a fairly new song regarding mortality and the cycle of water. Suitably captured in a tank of reverb through a Rolland Cube amp.

The footage is all mine - with some shots certainly rarely seen - filmed at the stunning Portmeirion (which I urge everyone to visit and support - located in North Wales close to Porthmadog,) between sunsets & sunrises sometimes in temperatures of 35 degrees due to the village's microclimate at the mouth of a silvery double estuary.

The brain child creation of world renowned architect Sir Clough Williams~Ellis, Portmeirion was established in 1925 and expanded up to 1975 as an exercise in building a village around existing landscape in a conservation effort.

Here forced perspective objects & buildings take the forefront, where things aren't as they seem and the vistas as a result take on a dreamy surrealistic manner where nature is placed in priority affording some fantastical sights

Our journey begins at the White Horses & inside the camera obscura rarely open to the public, but viewable on request to those with lodgings.
The estuary reaches expectedly outwards which we see from above, below, all in-between.
The projected shoreline stone boat becomes somewhat animated rendered in pastels as if drawn,

The grotto and gatehouse are seen with statues of muses on the balcony overlooking the seafront.

Possibly most famous for it's inclusion and main setting of the 60s TV thriller The Prisoner, we end our journey at Number 6's lodgings inside and out. Before focusing upon the iconic carillon Bell Tower and we seque from here to a canvas of the village on my wall.

Only a thought away, but a dream to see.
