With all the Edinburgh - Glasgow via Falkirk trains operated by ScotRail being electric trains, I've created a side-by-side comparison of the ScotRail Class 170 Diesel & Class 380 Electric trains departing Croy station from the first day of electric services on the E&G line. Journey times were one of the main advertisements from ScotRail with the introduction of the new Class 385 trains which are slowly coming into passenger service.
Also included in this video are clips of the extra capacity that the temporary Class 365's are providing and a test run of 385003 to allow the unit to eventually come into passenger service.
