Paul Sweeting, Moderator: So you know at one point, your job as it were, was essentially the bouncer at the door blocking content from getting on the platform that the rights owner didn't want on the platform. You now, under this new directive... It's imposed an obligation on the platforms, not just to prevent content that shouldn't be there from getting on there, but being able to attribute the content that is on there, the usage of the content that is on there, through all of the appropriate entities and rights owners. So how is that changing the state of play in the New York space?

Vance Ikezoye, AM CEO: So kind of the prevailing legal and framework in the U.S. and Europe was really in the U.S. BMCA, which really was a safe harbor to protect the platforms as long as they really didn't have knowledge. What happened was that the environment changed and we had social video platforms that were distributing content that you could search and index and play.

And so what the European Commission and the EU really tried to do was try to adapt and clarify the original law for usage. But secondly in... So the first part is trying to identify and prevent the uploads of copyrighted works using something like fingerprinting, like us.

And then secondly though, was to encourage a licensing regime to come about to try to enable that to happen. So they were trying to move the market, both rightsholders and platforms, in this direction to say we should try to get licensed. Today, you know the big guys can get licensed. Everybody else, it's a big problem.

And so I think the European Union with the new directive was trying to encourage a much more flourishing market for the use of content. So a lot of the things that we've been doing are really right down that path of trying to supply the rightsholders and the platforms a way to really implement the article, the new directive.
