Making pattern plywood coasters to give away as gifts

With the holiday season on us I found a useful way to make for all those off cut strips of plywood I've managed to accumulate over the last few years, and at the same time come up with a nifty holiday gift idea.

I've never made pattern plywood before, but I'm keen to give it a go and this seems like the perfect project to try my hand at it.

Let me know your thoughts and suggestions if you've ever made pattern ply before!
