Today we're going to be taking a look at the Global Link RV entry door locking latch kit. Now the locking latch kit lets you secure the entry door on your RV or travel trailer. This is designed to replace your Global Link, Bauer, Lippert components, fast tech or FIC, OR Trimark standard entry door latches. It's going to help keep intruders out and your belongings safe from theft. This unit's made from a sturdy steel construction with durable polish chrome finishing, so it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. The unit also features keyed alike option, which offers convenient, one key operation, so lock cores can be made to match other Global Link locks, which are going to be sold separately. Here at the back side of this piece it's got the rubberized foam gasket that goes around that perimeter.

That's going to provide a nice, tight seal against your door, keeping out dirt and moisture. With this part number you're going to get the main unit, you're going to get two keys that are keyed alike, you're going to get your door edge plate and strike plate, and you're going to get the necessary installation hardware. A few measurements to go over with you real quick, and then I'll show you how the unit operates. The outdoor faceplate dimensions, edge to edge this direction, is about three, almost three and a half inches. About three and 7/16ths of an inch wide, by four and a half inches tall. This unit's designed to fit doors that are an inch and a quarter to an inch and a half thick, and it installs in latch cutouts that are two and a half inches wide by three and a half inches tall to three inches wide by four inches tall. Really nice operation from the inside of your RV or trailer.

You're going to have this option here, this is like a deadbolt option. Nice and red so it's easily visible, very much indicates that that's going to be your deadbolt lever, and you can see how that operates it there, and then you're going to have two locks here on the exterior. Nice large grip area, too, on this piece, as well as the latch on the inside. Easy, seamless operation. From the exterior you're going to have two locks.

This lock right here is going to lock the main portion, so that keeps the handle from being able to be opened. This one down here allows you to operate the deadbolt from the exterior so you can move that to a locked position, or an unlocked position.
