The world-famous bear and his right-hand man were at Sooty Land at Crealy Theme Park in Devon and guests got the chance to meet both of them for the Sooty 75th Birthday celebrations. Sooty has a meet and greets every day in Sooty Land but for one weekend Richard Cadell made a special guest appearance with Sooty. Richard Cadell and Sooty have been friends for over 25 years and have starred in their own TV Shows and stage performances since.

Crealy Theme Park is also celebrating Sooty's 75th Birthday with an exclusive Birthday Bash Show with Richard Cadell. This fun-packed special Sooty Birthday show with Richard Cadell and Sooty's friends Sweep and Soo ran for two days on July 15th and July 16th, 2023. This Sooty Show is hosted by Sooty's right-hand man for the last 25 years, Richard Cadell who takes this already fantastic show to another level with the audience cheering and laughing all the way through.

Sooty is a British children's television media franchise created by Harry Corbett. The Sooty franchise remained in the ownership of Harry Corbett until his retirement in 1976, before being passed on to his son Matthew Corbett. When Matthew retired in 1998, he handed control to Richard Cadell and fan of Sooty and a skilled magician who produced new Sooty stage and TV programmes. In 2022, Cadell Limited the now owner of Sooty, signed a deal to open a Sooty Land in Crealy Theme Park and the Sooty Show has been running there ever since with special theme shows such as Sooty's Halloween Show.

Crealy Theme Park & Resort, previously known as Crealy Adventure Park & Resort, is the largest Theme Park in Devon that boasts over 60 rides and attractions, with spectacular entertainment, live shows, and a zoo. Crealy Theme Park and Resort have been voted as the best day out in Devon for eight years running.

The Crealy Theme Park opened in 1989 and is operated by Maximum Fun Devon Limited. In 2022, the park announced the opening of a brand new themed area called Sooty Land based on the popular TV character Sooty and Richard Cadell. Sooty Land contains 4 rides, themed attractions, and live shows. Sooty Land opened on the 28th of May 2022 with the rides Sooty's Magic Bus, Sweep's Flying Circus, Soo's Sweet Balloon Ride and Izzy Wizzy Lets Get Dizzy.
