Huge Pop Entertainment sat down with a ECW Original Jimmy Jannetty. Jannetty is an American professional wrestler known for his time in the early days of Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), specifically during 1992, when the promotion was still known as Eastern Championship Wrestling.
Jimmy Jannetty participated in the very first match of the ECW promotion on February 25, 1992, at the Original Sports Bar in Philadelphia. He wrestled Stevie Richards to a 20-minute time-limit draw.
Tag Team Action: He frequently competed in tag team matches, partnering with wrestlers like Larry Winters and Gino Caruso.
Singles Competition: Jannetty had various singles matches against other ECW originals such as Glenn Osbourne and Mr. X (The Rockin' Rebel).
Battle Royals: He was also a participant in several battle royals, including one won by Jimmy Snuka.
While he was an "original" in the sense of being on the first show, he did not achieve the same level of fame as later ECW stars. He continued wrestling and later became a trainer at Gangrel's wrestling school in Florida.
