Describing the revoking of Article 370 as a "black day" in the country's constitutional history, the Congress on Monday alleged that the government "dismembered" Jammu and Kashmir by "mischievously misinterpreting" articles in the Constitution. However, few Congress leaders took a different stand than the party's and supported the BJP government on Article 370.In a major setback, Congress Rajya Sabha MP and chief whip Bhubaneshwar Kalita resigned from the membership of the House on Monday opposing the party's stand on the abrogation of Article 370. "I was asked by the party to issue a whip but this is against the mood of the nation.
