Flying the L-13 Dragonfly - WWII Warbird in Alaska

Breathe. Let Go. and remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure….

... and that is how I ended up booking a one way flight to Alaska with no plans, no expectation and only hoped for a memorable time…

Having always dreamt of attending the Valdez fly in, I joined a few fellow pilots as I watched the bush pilots in their STOL airplanes compete...

Amongst the many beautiful airplanes, I couldn’t take my eyes off of the Dragonfly, a WWII L13, modified into an experimental aircraft

....little did I know I would be invited to practice my tailwheel take off and landings in it a week later ….
