It also makes a huge mess of Acts 9 concerning Paul's conversion because many believed he was saved on the road to Damascus, however he was told to be baptized and receive the Holy Spirit (Acts 9:17). Dr. Caldwell says water baptism should follow the receiving of the Holy Spirit, which makes a mess of Acts 8 and Acts 19, because in both of those accounts, water baptism came before the reception of the Holy Spirit. Does Dr. Josh Philpot agree with Dr. Caldwell that these baptized believers should have been water baptized AGAIN after receiving the Holy Spirit? WHAT A MESS.
