We would like to thank all of our relatives and friends who had joined hand in witnessing our union in marriage at Mairang Presbyterian Church (via live streaming).

We regret that you were unable to join us in person.

We didn’t anticipate the covid wave in Meghalaya, let alone in our own backyard.

Because of covid-19, our community was declared a containment zone at 10 PM on the eve of our wedding.... too late to postpone.. . To continue with the planned wedding celebration was also impossible..

On the one hand, as fellow humans and responsible citizens, we wanted to do our bit in order to check the spread of covid19. On the other hand, as Christians, we refused to be held hostage by terror.

So we had to make changes...

With vigilance, a sense of responsibility, and a steadfast adherence to SOP, our wedding was solemnized by a Pastor at Mairang Presbyterian Church. We exchanged our solemn vows in a ceremony attended by just 15 of our relatives.

Post the ceremony, our wedding celebration took place in the most humble and smallest of ways, beginning with a brief photograph session outside the church... and in the presence of some relatives only.

We deeply regret our inability to have all of you with us on this big day.

We want to share our happiness with you through this wedding video. You had joined us via live streaming on May 12, 2021. We hope you will join us in our celebration once more through this video.


In the end, it was definitely not the wedding reception we had anticipated. Your physical absence was painfully felt. But, despite its modesty and simplicity, it was dazzling, joyous and blessed.

The celebration was ever so boisterous ... brightened by our love for dancing as our loved ones dance their heart out.

God knows how to take us by surprise!

Despite the fact that most of you were not physically with us, we could feel your warmth and best wishes. Your thoughts and prayers were with us. God was present with us.

The celebration was raw and real. It was strangely satisfying.

In the end, the day is filled with a lot of 'BOTH OF US'.

The foundation has been laid.

And our inevitable journey has begun, rooted in love.
