My index finger hurt like hell after emulating the G-bender on multiple takes on this solo cover 😂😂 but we’re in the Christmas period and I felt that I just had to keep going until I was happy with the final take

And here it is folks, my cover of Brad Paisley’s guitar solo on his tasty arrangement of a Christmas classic.

For those who are musically minded will be aware that Brad is renowned not only for his incredible guitar playing, but he’s also known for his odd note choices, hence the descending whole tone scale run that he plays in the middle of the solo.

For any guitar players interested in how I achieved the tone on this:

I used my Fender Nashville Tele, through my Marshall 250DFX with the gain set at 12 o’clock, the bass at 8 o’clock, the mid at 5 o’clock and the treble at 2 o’clock

Pedals used: Wampler Paisley Deluxe, Wampler Ego Compressor and the BOSS Digital Delay DD-3
