FRIENDS for 20 years, Sofia and Julia met at school in Sweden and haven't left each other's side since. The friends moved to LA together in 2019 to pursue their education, career, and cosmetic goals. They have taken their bond to the next level, not only training in the same way at the gym, but also having largely similar makeup routines, dressing in matching outfits, and even undergoing procedures to mimic each other's features. The friends are often mistaken for sisters or even twins due to their striking resemblance to each other. "We started getting facial procedures when we were 18", Julia said. "That's the first time we did fillers, Botox, and our lips." They have also undertaken separate cosmetic procedures to match each other's facial features and bodies. Julia explained, "I had liposuction done in my double chin to look more like Sofia because I was really insecure about [it], and I always loved how defined Sophie's chin was and her jawline." They've had a lot of negative pushback on their relationship and obsession with being dopplegangers. "Nobody's really supportive of our procedures, to be honest. We get hate on social media, and our family doesn't like it. I can't think about really anybody that likes it, except for us, maybe", Sofia said. Comments online have said that they look like "old, plastic monsters", they've "destroyed" their look, and that Sofia has "duck lips".
