Описание к видео How to Save PS4 Game Data to USB Drive (Best Method)

Saving your PS4 game save data to a USB drive is an excellent way to back up your progress, free up space, or transfer saves to another PS4 console. Here's a detailed guide on how to do it:

What you'll need:

A USB flash drive or external hard drive: The size will depend on how many game saves you want to transfer, but even a small one (e.g., 4GB or 8GB) is usually enough for save data, as individual save files are typically very small.

Correct Formatting: The USB drive must be formatted to either FAT32 or exFAT.

Most modern USB drives are already exFAT, which is generally preferred as it supports larger individual file sizes (FAT32 has a 4GB file size limit, which usually isn't an issue for game saves but could be for other large files).

If your drive is formatted as NTFS (common for Windows computers) or another file system, your PS4 will not recognize it for save data transfer. You'll need to reformat it on a computer.
Steps to Copy Game Save Data to USB:
Prepare your USB Drive (if necessary):

If your USB drive is not FAT32 or exFAT, or if you're unsure, plug it into a computer (Windows or Mac).

Windows: Open "This PC" or "My Computer," right-click on your USB drive, select "Format..." Choose "exFAT" or "FAT32" from the "File system" dropdown, ensure "Quick Format" is checked, and click "Start."

Mac: Open "Disk Utility," select your USB drive from the sidebar, click "Erase." Choose "ExFAT" as the format and "Master Boot Record" or "GUID Partition Map" as the scheme, then click "Erase."

Important: Formatting will erase all data on the USB drive, so back up anything important first!

Insert the USB Storage Device:

Plug your prepared USB drive into one of the USB ports on the front of your PS4 console.

Go to PS4 Settings:
From your PS4 Home Screen, navigate up to the top row of icons.
Scroll to the right and select the "Settings" icon (it looks like a toolbox).
Navigate to Application Saved Data Management:

In the Settings menu, scroll down and select "Application Saved Data Management."
Select Saved Data in System Storage:
Choose "Saved Data in System Storage." This option allows you to manage the save data currently stored on your PS4's internal hard drive.

Choose "Copy to USB Storage Device":
Select "Copy to USB Storage Device."
Select the Game(s) and Save Data:
You'll now see a list of all your games that have saved data on your PS4.
Select a game by pressing the X button.

Inside the game's folder, you'll see a list of individual save files for that game (e.g., different character slots, auto-saves, manual saves).

Place a checkmark next to each specific save data file you want to copy. You can often also choose a "Select All" option to select all save data for that particular game.

Repeat this process for any other games you want to back up.
Initiate Copy:

Once you've selected all the desired save data files, select the "Copy" button at the bottom right of the screen.

Wait for the Transfer to Complete:

The PS4 will then copy the selected save data to your USB device. The time this takes will depend on the size and number of save files, but it's usually quite fast.

Do not remove the USB drive or turn off your PS4 during this process.
Safely Remove USB Drive:

Once the transfer is complete, you can safely remove the USB storage device from your PS4.
