A short clip captured by my friend of my 1998 Jaguar XJR accelerating up to 70mph (ish) onto a motorway from a stand still.
It has its original and very rare surviving Jaguar AJ26 Nikasil lined 4.0 litre supercharged V8 with 375bhp and 525nm of torque, coupled to a Mercedes 5G-Tronic heavy duty auto gearbox.
Launched in 1997 the Jaguar X308 XJR was the world's fastest 4 door saloon car in production, beating the BMW E34 M5 and Mercedes E55AMG of the day, until it was finally beaten by the BMW E39 M5. With 0-60 times of 5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph, this 2 tonne over 20 year old car is still a force to be reckoned with even by modern Porsches and other modern sports cars.

This really is a car of 2 personalities. Driven normally the gearbox will set off in 2nd and even at full throttle will change up early to bog down the engine and make for a smoother more steady and relaxing driving experience. However with the press of the Sport mode button on the gearbox, acceleration is best described as alarming and somewhat terrifying. It really is a true Jaguar, a feral animal
