In small communities every one has to work into together for the common good and in Elliston Council forms a pivotal role in helping people get their ideas off the ground, through the fund raising stage and to completion.

Social amenities like the tennis and netball courts in Elliston and the pool at lock have been joint enterprises with Council happy to have been the service provider and in-kind partner.

Elliston's Manager Infrastructure and Environmental Services, Chris Davey said the community notices and appreciates the efforts that Council has made to upgrade and streetscape main streets in Lock and Elliston -- for eye appeal and also as a means of keeping the dust down.

At Sheringa beach, Council has upgraded beach access and added a viewing platform -- in small communities that don't have buckets of money to throw around every improvement is noted and approved of.
