The Clive Hand Memorial Race is held each year at LRSC for IOM Model Yachts and helps raise funds for the RNLI. Helms from all over the UK attend for a day of competetive racing on the lake at Scotland Farm, Lincoln, UK.

Model yacht racing (often refered to as Radio Sailing) is a competitive form of yacht racing run along similar lines to dinghy racing and keelboat racing. Different classes of model yacht are raced, these range from inexpensive mass produced yachts to expensive craftsman made boats.

Model yacht racing is a sport in which small sailboats generally under one metre in length are raced against each other in a controlled environment such as a pond, lake, or indoor swimming pool. The only method of propulsion is the wind on the sails. Electronic radio controled winches are used to trim the sails and steer the yachts.
