1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard - Sunburst

For you "Burst aficionados": ...unbelievable 1960 Gibson "Burst" which is a 1 owner-instrument, This guitar is in excellent condition and has barely any weatherchecking, some slight wear on the top above the toggle-switch and some small marks behind the tailpiece - see pics! The centerseem maple-top has very strong and equal flame, which smiles at you from every angle you look at the guitar :-) Nice weight = only 3,91Kg. Simply one of the cleanest Burst we´ve ever seen.

We´ve checked the complete guitar, everything is all original down to untouched solderjoints. The two strong PAF humbucker pickups have never had their nickelcovers off, the reading shows 8,08 K-Ohm for the neck- and 8,18 K.Ohm for the bridge pickup. All solderjoints are original and all 4 pot-dates are matching. The tuners have been changed at one time to a different modell, so there are two little additional screwholes, which are covered from original Kluson tuners (the original tunerholes have not(!) been enlarged). The original Kluson singleline tuners have been "rebuttoned" with singlering buttons. Compared to 1958 and 1959 Les Paul Burst s, most of the 1960 Les Paul Standards barely show any fading of the color, so the finish of this guitar is totally unfaded and still shows all its rich color. There is some documentation, incl. a picture of the original owner playing this guitar. Great opportunity to get a nice and clean burst with an outstanding flametop!
