The Active Volcano in Portugal; Mount Pico

Описание к видео The Active Volcano in Portugal; Mount Pico

On the Portuguese island of Pico is a massive active volcano, which towers often above cloud cover, and occasionally has snow on its summit. The volcano in question is the tallest point in all of Portugal, and is known as Mount Pico. Despite its vast size, as it stands at 2,351 meters or 7,713 feet above sea level, this volcano is surprisingly young. It has erupted three times in the last 500 years and will certainly erupt again. This video will discuss just how young Mount Pico is and what its future hazards are.
