I am your host Lord Fenton In this Ultima 1 The First Age of Darkness new player guide, I am going to show you all how create your character, farm gold, how food system works, how to gear up with weapons and armor, spells, traveling and much more. Note: I am playing the upgraded version of Ultima 1. It is the PC MS-DOS version however it looks better than the original version of Ultima i.

Note: Dungeons are random. So you might get a good batch or a bad batch. Grind on the first floor for awhile to get your food and hp situation settled. Than save for the Air Car.

Note: Str is the only stat you will not be able to increase by signs. Go quest in castles like Lord British. To make things easier just keep on questing for Lord British to get your Str to max ASAP since it is the best route to the sign than back to him.
