Da'wah of Islam is an integral part of Islamic ideals and laws.  Islamic Dawat is the method of preservation of Islam and the transformation and advancement of Islamic society.  In the Qur'an, the call to religion has been made obligatory on Muslims.  Allah Ta'ala declares - 'You are the best nation, you have been created for the welfare of the world's people, so that you enjoin justice and good deeds and forbid and refrain from evil deeds (Surah Al-Imran, verse 110).  There should be among you a group of people who will call to goodness, enjoin good deeds and forbid evil deeds.' (Surah Al-Imran, verse-104).  "I have made you a nation of moderation, that you may guide the people of the world." (Surah Baqarah, verse 143)
