If you want to protect the leading edge of your rig's hood, and make it look more customized, the Rugged Ridge Black Body Armor Hood Stone Guard is a great option.

A diamond plate texture adds a nice industrial vibe to this component, so it looks more interesting than guards that have a flat texture.

Rugged Ridge makes this Body Armor Hood Stone Guard to fit on all 2007 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler JKs. It's constructed out of a UV-treated thermoplastic, so it won't fade from sitting in direct sunlight, and can withstand debris hitting it as you drive down the road or trail.

Also included is 3M tape, which is already in place on the Stone Guard. This makes installation super easy. Tabs on the end line up with the existing holes for the upper hood latch, and you secure it with a couple of nuts. Plan on the job taking you about 30 minutes to complete. You will need to clean the area thoroughly before applying the tape, after you remove the upper hood latches.

A big plus with this modification is if later you decide you don't want it anymore, it's easy to remove, and won't leave any damage behind.
