Here is a New version of my tutorial on how to install GTA 4 on PC. since Rockstar released patch 1.0.8.0 Which made things easier. If you have any questions, don't forget to ask! (I did end up putting a link to patch 1.0.8.0, check below)

NOTE: Trying to run mods might break your game! If this didn't work and you tried to run any mods, that would be why! Install mods at own risk.

Instructions:

Step 1 - (1:05) Basic Install:
Install the game as normal, like you would any other game.

Step 2 - (1:45) Release Date Check:
Change the date of your PC to somewhere between 2008-2010. Once you have completed the date check, reset it back to normal. (Do not launch the game yet).

Step 4: Play.

Bonus:

1) (Optional) Click this link to download replacement for LaunchGTAIV.exe, if you use Hard copy:

This will allow you to start up GTA IV without disc 1.


2) If your game doesn't launch after the Social club login succeeds and you are still on desktop download this and install it :
http://www.xbox.com/en-US/LIVE/PC/Dow... - press the blue download button.

3) (Optional) - Paul.dll
Make sure the last time you logged into GTA IV, you successfully logged into Social Club. Go to your GTA IV directory and remove Paul.dll. This will allow you to bypass signing into Social Club, from now on.
