BRICS nations announced new joint projects, including the Sino-Russian film Allies. Chinese VGIK students participated, with future director Wen Yuanheng expressing hopes for more collaborations. Indian director Pradip Kurbah’s Elysium, spotlighting the Khasi community, made the shortlist, marking a milestone for Northeast Indian cinema. To promote diverse storytelling, the Eurasian Film Academy introduced the 12-category Diamond Butterfly awards, launching in December 2025.
