Babri Masjid Verdict: Lawyer in the case says, 'Sangh and VHP are not responsible for demolition'

On the verdict of Babri Masjid demolition, the Lawyer in the case says, 'The court has found that neither Sangh nor VHP is responsible for the demolition of Babri Masjid.'

Nearly thirty years after the Babri Masjid was razed by a mob in Uttar Pradesh, a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court acquitted all 32 accused citing lack of evidence. CBI Judge S K Yadav presented the verdict. Twenty-two accused were present in the courtroom.

The Ayodhya mosque was demolished on December 6 1992, by ‘Kar sevaks’ who claimed that it was built on the site of an ancient Ram temple. Following this, two cases were filed in Ayodhya. one related to the conspiracy of the demolition, and another about the instigation of the crowd.
