It really is interesting! Here I mention how a black & white camera can be used to take color pictures, and how to turn those color pictures black and white!

Alright if you're reading this, you're probably a little interested. I first found out about the cameras + filters method when I watched this 8-Bit Guy webcam video where he mentions it in the second half.

Then at some point, I came across this Captain Disillusion video (still one of my favorite videos for some reason) where he explains some camera technologies, but mainly for me, that's where I found out about the Bayer pattern.

And the luminance part, I found out about it when making my minesweeper clone, "Finesweeper" in 2021. I made a theme for it with pictures in the background and wanted to also add a black and white version, and thus I learnt how to do it right!
