Tekken 2 VER.A [Arcade] - play as Kazuya Mishima

Описание к видео Tekken 2 VER.A [Arcade] - play as Kazuya Mishima

This is a play-through using Kazuya in the Arcade version of Tekken 2 version A. Read on below for more information...

This is a version of Kazuya that is for human players to select and play as, and is different to the CPU Boss Kazuya with the purple suit. Therefore technically, the player version of him does not actually appear as a boss opponent in the game. He is an unlockable playable character.

===== ABOUT KAZUYA =====

As mentioned earlier, this is a different and separate version of him to the CPU Boss Kazuya, created for the purpose of being selected/controlled by a human player. He has two costumes: the lower Karate gi; and the white shirt/blue jeans.

If you didn't know that Player Kazuya and CPU Kazuya are separate characters for different uses (most people don't know), you would think that this is simply the same Kazuya with a 3rd costume used as the boss on Stage 9.

===== GAMEPLAY =====

As one of the original Mishimas of Tekken, he has the trademark Mishima-style moves. In Tekken 2, many people tend to think that his moves list is identical to Devil (besides the Lasers)... this is most definitely not the case, as Kazuya has more tricks up his sleeve, making him the better character.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- His Stage 8 personal boss is Roger; his Stage 9 boss is Heihachi; and his final boss is Devil.

---- The player version of him does not have the purple suit, unlike in the PS1 version of Tekken 2.

---- Him and CPU Kazuya are the only characters in the game to fight their personal sub-bosses (Roger) on Stage 8 without the "personal boss" BGM theme.

---- Gameplay-wise, he seems to be identical to CPU Kazuya.

---- Gameplay-wise, there may be damage infliction and receipt differences between him and CPU Kazuya but I have not run any tests for this.

---- He is the only character in the game to have a proper side-step move, called the Mist Step.

===== ABOUT ARCADE TEKKEN 2 Ver.A =====

This is a vast improvement on the prequel as it is far more refined and fleshed out in all aspects. All the personal sub-bosses (besides male Kunimitsu) return and all them are playable through the use of hidden input commands on the character select screen. Every character in the game has their own stage background as well.

Interestingly, it should also be mentioned that in the Arcade versions of Tekken 2, there is a setting in the options/operator screen that allows you to set either Baek or Jun as the regular character on the character select screen.
