2017 Honda FCX Clarity Review And Test Drive
The 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell should drive better than ever, and it steps up to a mid-size form, earning a range of more than 400 miles—but you're still tethered to a tenuous hydrogen fueling network.

The 2017 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell is an electric sedan that’s powered by a hydrogen fuel-cell. It doesn’t need to be charged but instead needs to be fueled with hydrogen from a specialized (and expensive) station—of which there are very few at this point.

The Clarity goes on sale in Japan in spring of 2016, and when this model reaches the U.S., in late 2016, it will only be offered in California. Even then, it will be limited, at least initially, to select dealers in Los Angeles and Orange counties, as well as the San Francisco Bay Area plus Sacramento. And this will be a very low-volume, lease-only model; consider sightings of this model, if you’re not near one of California’s academic enclaves, and near a fueling station, to be as rare as those of exotic supercar models.
