Cave Dweller Anthem is written for anyone who hasn’t yet moved into their castle. I wrote this song with Kaleb Jones one afternoon in Nashville and knew immediately I wanted to cut it. It was easy to know what direction I wanted to take the production to match the song’s 90s rock aesthetic.

Strangely enough, basements aren’t very common in Tennessee. I’m told that’s because there’s lots of rock that has to be blasted away in order to build basements. Lucky for me, a dear friend of the family had the perfect basement and let me terrorize them and their dog Dolly with my drumming for a day.
