I started the day at Hagia Sophia for Fajr, walked through Sultanahmet Square at sunrise, prayed Jumu’ah at the Blue Mosque, then challenged myself to spend no more than 400 Turkish lira for the entire day (plus 50 lira for the Istanbul Card).

Could I make it across the city, eat properly, and still make it to the airport — without breaking the budget?
