Upon hearing the official soundtrack releases as well as the BGM on the PS2 release, you can tell that the songs for those respective releases were remastered with slightly different instruments and higher quality sound samples. In the original Arcade BGM the soundtrack is being played using lower quality samples presumably due to the ICS2115 sound chip inside the cabinet. This results in stereo channel playback with better frequency ranges for all the instruments, plus the bitcrushed audio of some of the samples in songs adds a slight charm to the music instead of the (in my opinion) more "noisy" and compressed music with added reverb found on all other official releases.

One example you can try for yourself is listening to both the PS2 and the "DoDonPachi Daioujou Score Trial Participation Award Soundtrack" versions of Stage 1's theme; specifically the part where the woman's choir like vocals begin to play. The vocals are noticeably bitcrushed, exactly as how you would hear it on the cabinet. Another good example is the Ending theme. You will immediately notice the differences.

Credit goes to ctr over at the vgmrips forums for ripping the original .MOD files from the game.

This is a remake of the last upload. I had mistakenly used the wrong track titles for the original video.
