We have never recommended the use of booster fans for the application of dryer vent exhaust systems.

Building code once used to allow them but no longer is the case Effective a few years ago. There is one exception, there's One specific model that is allowed which we don't recommend.

Furthermore I have not found one dryer manufacturer that recommends a booster fan nor the only one that's allowed which is a DEDPV.

This is now at least the third dryer manufacturer where I have seen it and written form either in their manuals and or on their website stating not to use these products... and for good reason!

The much better alternative to a booster fan is getting a dryer that is capable of handing long vents. Most dryer manufacturers make models that are special and can handle up to 120 ft of vent.

It is critically important that people know how these booster fans work if they have one. If you do not see the latest video I posted earlier this morning you'll see quickly why it's very important to know how they work.
