Making Precision Templates for Professional Hardware Installation

Methods and steps shown can be adapted to all manner of hardware items for any time non-prehung millwork is being installed. Making quick and accurate templates and using a router with a pattern bit to mortise for flush-mounting hardware is usually much faster and always more accurate and repeatable than the 'score and chisel' method that was the norm in carpentry since the beginning.
