San Joaquin County leaders are set to vote Tuesday on whether to buy an old golf course property that's no longer in use. The Board of Supervisors has identified the Oakmoore Golf Course property located on North Wilson Way in Stockton as a potential site for the county's safe camping project. An item to approve the purchase and sale agreement of the Oakmoore property is on the Dec. 10 agenda. The idea is to use the property as a controlled space for unhoused people to camp safely.
