Innovation drives change. Each day, our society faces various problems. To solve these problems come along innovators. They all dare to dream, and make a difference in the process. This talk is given by one such unexpected catalyst of change, Vardaan Saraogi. Vardaan is a student in 11th grade and he developed a speech therapy app after his father suffered a stroke. In this talk, Vardaan talks about his journey, from inspiration to conception to the final creation and the goal he wishes to achieve with his work. Vardaan is a student in the 11th grade who created an app for speech therapy 'Bolo’. The idea behind this app came from his own experience, when his father suffered a brain stroke in 2022 that led to speech impairment. Through this app Vardaan has tried to create an affordable and easily accessible gamified version of speech therapy. This solution has the potential to revolutionise the healthcare industry and make an ‘elite’ and expensive form of speech treatment accessible to the common man.
