It's Unreal Engine loose tutorial time!
This video is a bit different from the usual. It's not strictly a devlog, but it's a compendium of all the tricks and tecniques I've learned when finding out a workflow for producing my environmental models. It mostly deals with texturing and shading but the way I will texture the model strongly influences the way I will model it, in this case. You'll see why if you watch the video.

This workflow is particularly useful for sci fi assets, but the tricks shown here should be easily adaptable for other aestethics.

To learn what I've shown, I've mainly relied on two sources. The first is "The Ascent" GDC talk, that I will link here:

what an absolute goldmine of information for UE4 developers.

The other one is one of the Dead Space remake promotional video:

it's a lot more streamlined but it still contains useful stuff.
