Bangladesh has been shaken by violent protesters and clashes over job quotas nationwide.
Over the past few weeks, things got really worse and turned into serious civil unrest. Over 500 people have been arrested and including some leaders from the opposition parties.

There have been widespread protests against a government policy that reserves civil service jobs for people who support Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Critics argue that this system favors those loyal to her and allows her to maintain a strong grip on power. This situation has caused a lot of concern and sadness among the people in Bangladesh and around the world.

Recently, an Emirati court was reported that 57 Bangladeshi workers in the UAE were sent to jail for joining protests against their government in Bangladesh.
This raises important questions about the rights of foreigners, freedom to speak out, and how countries work together.

On Monday, according to the official Emirati news agency WAM, reported that three people from Bangladesh were given life sentences where 53 others got 10 years in prison, and one person got 11 years for participating in protests.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, the government has decided to officially accept a ruling regarding job quotas following significant protests from diverse groups throughout the nation.
This decision meets a major demand of the students who have been protesting for several days.

While things have been quiet in Dhaka and other big cities in Bangladesh for the second day. The government imposed a curfew and shut down the internet and phone services after protests last week turned very violent.
Recently, reports indicated that nearly 150 people died in the clashes and making it one of the worst outbreaks of violence in recent years.

As this story unfolds, it will be important to see how this decision affects how the government runs things and how people get jobs in Bangladesh's government.
