Today I cover the set that I have waited years of my life for, and unfortunately I feel mixed on the final product.

This is set 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion which released under the LEGO Marvel modulars line and is currently the final release in the theme. Overall, I feel conflicted. Ideally one wouldn't feel conflicted at a $500 toy. I’ll say that I am pretty happy I didn’t pay $500 for this thing, all thanks to the audience that watched these videos.

There’s so much missing here that I feel buyers were owed based on how long it took to get here. No villains besides Magneto and the Sentinel included, why is that? Mystique, Pyro, Juggernaut, Toad, Sabertooth? Where are they all?

The key members of the team are here thankfully, quality wise is a different topic but no Jubilee, Nightcrawler, Angel? It’s crazy to me that I can own action figures of characters that LEGO have never even bothered with in the nearly 14 years of working with this license.

The build feels small compared to the other modulars. People complained about the Sanctum at the time of release for how much smaller it seemed compared to the Bugle, but there are images that, to me, greatly showcases how mishmashed this line is when the sets are all paired up together.

I understand that the goal was to make a LEGO X-Men set within the budget of the Daily Bugle which is why the set is what it is, price wise, size wise, minifigure wise and all, I am just really surprised at what the final product is. The one opts for a longer ground base approach than a tall skyscraper so we look at this set relative to that style but it also uses less pieces, it just feels inferior.

Yeah real mixed bag for me because I love the colours and dynamics and it really stands out against the dull grey coloured standard Marvel sets but I don’t see the value for that full price. Thank you all again for supporting this channel because without the support from you watching, I can’t cover the fun expensive releases like this
