God is good. It’s a simple truth, yet one we must hold tightly to—especially in a world where confusion and suffering often tempt us to think otherwise.
Whenever we hear of hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, or other natural disasters, the phrase ‘acts of God’ is often spoken. But this is a misunderstanding of His nature. God is not the author of destruction. He does not orchestrate harm or chaos. His Word declares, ‘Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning’ (James 1:17).

We live in a world groaning under the weight of sin—a creation fallen from its original beauty. Evil and suffering entered through the enemy, not through the heart of our good and faithful God. And yet, even in this broken world, His goodness remains steadfast. He breathes life into us each morning. He sends rain to water the earth. He paints sunrises and sunsets across the sky. He offers us unending grace through His Son.

But beyond the beauty of creation, beyond the provision of daily needs, His goodness reaches into the hidden corners of our hearts. Have you noticed it? In the unexpected comfort of a friend’s words… in the peace that calms you in the midst of a storm… in the strength to take one more step when you thought you had none left. These are not coincidences. These are the fingerprints of God’s goodness woven into the fabric of your life.

Pause today. Look closer. Reflect: Where has His goodness touched you personally? It’s there—in the ordinary and the extraordinary. He is always good. He is only good. And His goodness is reaching for you even now.

Father, awaken my heart to see Your goodness in every season of life. Help me not to overlook the daily mercies You so freely give. When the world grows loud with fear and confusion, let me stand firm in the truth of who You are: good, faithful, and unchanging. Teach me to trust Your heart even when I don’t understand the circumstances around me. May my life reflect the beauty of Your goodness to those who need hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
