Welcome to my Blind Playthrough of Super Robot Wars Original Generation 2 Ver. A. The Ver. A (or Version Axel) hack of OG2 swaps the roles of the two main characters from SRW Advance, making Axel Almer an ally unit while Lamia Loveless becomes an enemy.

There's also several other differences, such as new BGM or new secret units. As I play through it, I'll be taking notes of all the changes I can find and making note of them in the description, along with any other thoughts I might have.

The Hagane and Hiryu arrive to back up the Neo DC - 6:15

The team suspects that the Inspectors have one last card to play - 24:15
As all the Bioroids are mopped up, Archibald arrives and attacks Van's Rhinoceros. The Shirogane then warps in, attacking and crippling the Hagane - 49:11

Mekibos unleashes the Greytarkin's Thunder Crash, damaging everyone in and around the base, which causes Archibald to withdraw - 51:39

Shadow Mirror forces deploy led by Lamia, Lemon, Wodan and Echidna - 53:53

Daitetsu, Tetsuya and Tsugumi reawaken and prepare a last-ditch evac plan - 1:10:12

As the team receives the order to retreat, Lamia disables the Soulgain and prepares to kill Axel. Kyosuke manages to intercept the blow, but he gets severely injured and the Alteisen is wrecked - 1:25:08

Einst swarm the battlefield while Van sacrifices himself to cover the Hagane - 1:27:30

Captain Daitetsu gives his...final order... - 1:29:17

Notable Differences in this stage:
In the original game, when the Shadow Mirror forces arrive, Axel, Lemon, Wodan and Echidna attack Kyosuke, Excellen, Sanger and Lamia, respecively. In this game, Lamia, Lemon, Wodan and Echidna go after Axel, Excellen, Sanger and Gilliam, respectively.

Instead of having Lamia go directly for Kyosuke as the team prepares to retreat, she goes after Axel, and Kyosuke intercepts the attack. Lamia then prepares to finish off the wounded "Beowulf", which causes the Einst to appear and throw the battlefield into chaos.
