This weeks song is one I wrote with Dad at the tail end of last year. It's about my childhood and is bit of a lament for lost youth. It's largely Ralph McTell inspired and has an acoustic folk vibe. I genuinely miss those days playing in the river Barle on Exmoor. Those were some of the best days of my life building dams and playing in inflatable boats.

Walking down the banks
Of the swift Shirdon stream

The summer Barle flows by

Buzzards flying high

Swallows in the sky, heather on the ridge

I remember blow up boats
We’d leap from banks and trees
We’d run and swim for hours
In the warm summer breeze
